&lt;p&gt;I prefer jQuery for its syntax, documentation, and plethora of community code. I&#039;ve used Dojo and the comfort of using jQuery outweighs the performance difference for my cases. I toyed with mootools which is marginally faster than jQuery at times, but did not like the syntax one bit.&lt;/p&gt;
